John D. Hilcher, CPA is a partner at Defreitas & Hilcher LLC with over 30 years of experience in taxation, financial reporting, and advisory services. He began his career at R.A. Fredericks & Company, LLP before joining Ernst & Young, and has served clients across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania since establishing his own practice in 1989. John is licensed in New Jersey and Tennessee and is a member of the AICPA and NJSCPA.

John R. Hilcher (JR) is a staff accountant at Defreitas & Hilcher LLC. He holds a Master’s in Accounting from William Paterson University and supports the firm’s tax, bookkeeping, and advisory services. JR also leads various technology and operational initiatives for the practice.
